Question: Is it intentional that the song "Across the Stars" sounds almost exactly like the theme from "Hook"?
Answer: It's probably because John Williams composed both. He also composed the soundtracks to Harry Potter and Home Alone- both of which also sound similar. It *may* have been intentional, as part of the story of Hook deals with "first star and turn to the left".
Question: Just out of curiosity, they didn't mention what happen to that Alan guy who gave his position to Pete. Did he go on to play college ball?
Answer: Alan Bosley was not a real person, just a character they made up for the movie, if you are looking for any info on the real players go to this site, http://www.71originaltitans.com.
Question: Does anyone know what all the buttons on Darth Vader's suit are for and what they do?
Answer: The buttons are a console for all of the life support systems inside Vader's suit - breathing, air regulation, vocabulator, and temperature control. They are specially protected, however, such that hitting the console in a lightsaber fight won't deactivate any systems.
Question: Why did the original girl that did Meg's voice (Lacey Chabert) leave Family Guy? Did she really think she was too good and famous for Family Guy or what? You can tell Meg's voice changed, going from Lacey Chabert to Mila Kunis.
Answer: From the IMDB: Mila Kunis replaced an uncredited Lacey Chabert as the voice of Meg in the second production season. Erratic air dates and production times saw various second season episodes aired before first season episodes on FOX, causing the voice of Meg to jump back and forth. One episode ("There's Something About Paulie") features a Season 1 production code but a Season 2 Meg so it is included on the R2/R4 Season 2 DVD set. Cast and crew members all seem to have different stories on why she left. Some say it was because of failed contract negotiations, while others say it was because she didn't agree with the show's content.
Question: After the black and white ball, TC takes Katherine to his home for sex. While they are frolicking in his home the camera pans to a painting on the wall above them depicting a woman sitting at the bow of a sailboat with her dark hair blown back. Could anyone kindly tell me what the name of the painting is and also that of the artist?
Question: How in the world did Hikaru Sulu, whom under all circumstances is Japanese, end up with that last name? Even in the novelization of the Star Trek IV, he meets his great (great.) grandfather named Akira Sulu. (Question is aimed more for a production explanation than a story-based one.)
Answer: Production explanation: Gene Roddenberry took the name Hikaru from the legendary Japanese novel "Tale of Genji" and Sulu from the Sulu Sea, located in Southeast Asia. Roddenberry wanted a universal-Asian name and said, "[Since] the waters of a sea touch all shores," the name Sulu was perfect. Story-based explanation: presumably somewhere in Sulu's family line there was a non-Japanese (probably Filipino) male whose surname was passed on.
Question: Does anyone know the name of the episode where Leela kills a bunch of people?
Answer: You are thinking about episode 20 of series 2 - "Anthology of Interest I". She technically never kills anyone, but in the episode she ask a "What if machine" (one of the Professor's inventions) what would happen if she was more impulsive. The machine then shows the more impulsive Leela killing off the Professor to get the money from his will and thereafter killing Hermes, Bender, Scruffy, Cubert, Nibler, Amy and Zoidberg to cover it up. Finally she does something really impulsive with Fry.
Question: What's the name of the song that Anna's band sings for their audition? And is there anywhere I can hear it or buy it or has someone actually released it?
Answer: It's called 'Take Me Away' by Christina Vidal. It's on the movie soundtrack.
Day 4: 10:00 P.M.-11:00 P.M. - S4-E16
Question: What happens to Behrooz at the end? I missed this episode, so I read in the official site of 24 its summary, but it didn't really say if Behrooz was killed or not. So was he killed or not?
Answer: It's never confirmed exactly what happened to him. In a deleted scene, he is rescued by CTU agents. After that, we can assume that he was probably put into witness protection or something.
Question: After Brian and the others escape the Bangor airport and are on their way back to LA, before they get to the time rip, Brian says to Nick that he wanted kids and she didn't and he did "something that he never thought he'd do" and that he always wanted to tell her sorry. What was that thing he did that was so bad, there is no mention of what he did unless he is talking about the divorce. Could someone please clarify this?
Answer: In the book he slaps her across the face during a heated argument. I can only assume that is what he is talking about.
Question: Is it true that a T-Rex's vision is based on movement?
Answer: According to noted paleontologist Jack Horner, who acted as a consultant on this film, it is not known whether or not a T-Rex's vision was based on movement. However, because some reptiles do have this trait, Horner said it's possible that a T-Rex could have it as well, and he didn't object to it being in the movie. Being as these are not pure dinosaurs, it's plausible.
Kent Stevens conducted an experiment to figure out what kind of vision T-rex had.
There is evidence that T. Rex had excellent binocular vision, and could see you even if you didn't move.
Answer: It's unlikely. As a large and top-heavy predator, the T. Rex would have needed excellent vision to be sure that it didn't fall over and injure itself. As it also had overlapping binocular vision (similar to predatory birds, predatory mammals, and humans), it most likely had very good vision, especially since prey freezing in place (like a deer in headlights) is a common thing. This is a holdover from the first book, which is also lampshaded as a bad theory in the second book.
Kent Stevens determined that T-rex had a depth perception of 55°. That's better than hawks and eagles.
Question: Why did Dunbar's superior kill himself as Dunbar was being taken to his new post?
Answer: He was mentally disturbed and was depressed about being assigned to a "dead end" post with no chance at advancement. Dunbar, the hero, choosing to be assigned to the frontier, just pushed the poor soul over the edge.
In a word, the disease syphilis. The urinary tract problems and the Insanity are possible side effects.
What are you basing this on? What in the movie indicates that he has syphilis?
Answer: Dunbar's superior supported the British ("The King is dead... Long live the King" said with a heavy British accent) and was likely a closet-case Redcoat his entire US military career. It was not rare and many suicides were a result of that.
This claim is not supported by the movie. "The King is dead. Long live the King" is a common idiom referring to the passing of power to someone new. It most definitely does not literally refer to the English King. The movie is set in the middle of Queen Victoria's reign. As for your assertion that there were a large number of English loyalists in the Union Army three generations after the Revolutionary War seems highly unlikely. Can you cite evidence of this?
Question: In the audio commentary with the director and 'the real Lemony Snicket' on the DVD, who is voicing Lemony Snicket? Is it the actual writer or a stand-in, which is also plausible, seeing as how the whole commentary is like a long joke.
Question: We learn that the Clone army was secretly being created, raised and trained on Kamino, without the Jedi's knowledge. What about all the Republican starships, cruisers and walkers we see at the end of the movie? Where were they built, and how did Sidious and Dooku manage to keep that a secret as well?
Chosen answer: The assault ship, gunships, walkers and tanks were built by Rothana Heavy Engineering (a subsidiary of Kuat Drive Yards) who were contracted to the Kamino cloners to secretly develop and build the war machines for the clone army. RHE had hidden shipyards over the planet Rothana, which is why the Republic was unaware of the project.
Question: I'm posting this as a question since I'm not sure, but everything I know about Ermac is that he is multiple people in one body, so he refers to himself as "we". In the movie right after Shao Kahn kills Rain, he refers to himself as "I". Is there a reason for this, or is this a mistake?
Answer: This could have been a mistake but then again it could have been one of the people inside of him just stepping up and saying it to keep Shao Khan from throwing them over with Rain.
Question: Does anyone know which episode it is where Joey and Chandler are at another apartment and Joey runs out of the bathroom and says "now would be a great time to leave because I've just clogged the toilet"?
Answer: This is in season four. The episode is called "The One With All The Haste". Monica and Rachel are trying to get their apartment back from the guys.
Question: Is it possible that Palpatine was aware of Anakin's feelings for Padme and was trying to encourage something to happen between them by ordering her to leave Corusant with him? He later uses Anakin's love for Padme to turn him to the dark side.
Answer: Absolutely. He wasn't encouraging it (since it was already happening) he was manipulating events to his vision. The jedi have a power of far-seeing (essentially they see the (or a) future), and Palpatine seems to be very powerful in this field, but just because he can see it doesn't mean it happens, he has to shape the events he sees in his visions. After all, from seemingly nothing he worked his way up to the ultimate ruler of the universe. Getting two lovebirds together (for his own later use, of course) is nothing to him.
