Revealing mistake: The "horse" in the stall on the left has to be fake. With the exception of a barely visible half-blink, it does not move the slightest when the girl (while handling the reins) walks around its head, and a couple of girls are touching (pretending to be removing) the saddle. Continuity mistake: The "action star dummy 'lil Kevin Hart" is in a different position on the chair each time it is shown. The dummy is slouched in various positions or upright, and the "FBI" lapel letters are partially or fully visible. Continuity mistake: Teddy gets cocaine smeared all over his left cheek when he is snorting cocaine in his car, but when the camera shifts to a front view, the cocaine is gone, not visible. (00:10:25)

The doctor dismisses Laura's concern and replies, "Growing boys eat... we'll see you in six months." The doctor should order additional tests. Factual error: Lieutenant Commander Sharp addresses the crew of the USS King. At the end, he shouts "Semper Fi." Marines say "Semper Fi," not Navy personnel. Continuity mistake: Victor slams the door to the electrical panel box on his left and its right side tilts, but - in an instant - it is upright and the electrical box to his right is tilted instead. Victor doesn't close the door to the box on his left, but it is suddenly closed. (00:38:40)
Continuity mistake: The trees show through the front windows of the house largely have green leaves with subtle signs of starting to transition for autumn. Panning to the back windows, the trees have a distinct, more uniform orange tint (which cannot be attributed to the sun setting behind them). A bicyclist emerges from the left-center side of the screen and heads straight across the path, perpendicularly towards the couple. The bicyclist "disappears" behind Vivian, just before he reaches (crashes into) the couple, and the camera cuts to Carol. Seconds later, Vivian still walks towards the screen, and a different person walks where the couple was. (00:14:38)

Continuity mistake: Dad's fiancée places the photo album on her lap and holds the Christmas dance tickets between both hands. Continuity mistake: Wingate pours two whisky glasses almost half-full. He pushes one glass across the table to Stubb, and the glass has less than half as much whisky in it. Wingate's glass - now closer to him - appears to have a little more than he poured into the glass. (00:22:15)
Continuity mistake: Bella sits on the couch, and the two metal purse strap buckles are atop the front and back sides of her left shoulder. In alternating views, the buckles are a couple of inches lower along the front of the strap. (00:05:07 - 00:05:33)
Factual error: The storm chasers are meeting by the road and you see the sign for I-90 East in the background several times. This movie takes place in and around Texas, yet the route that I-90 takes is nowhere remotely close to that far south.
Factual error: Henk arrives in Moscow. The KGB gets a copy of his passport. In the next scene, a building can be seen, and a Trabant 601 drives through the shot (one light out). Trabant was East German made and widely exported on the Eastern Block but never to the Soviet Union. This car is definitely wrong there. (00:30:40)
