Corrected entry: When Bond and Moneypenny visit Q, he takes his cat from the table, puts it on the steps, and it is running up to the second floor. When they enter the living room, the cat is still on the table.

Correction: He has two cats (and a mortgage).

Corrected entry: The age difference in real life between Rami Malik and Lea Seydoux is only 4 years, and they don't look far apart in age. So it is a bit strange that Safin was an adult when Madeleine was a child.

Correction: The real-life difference between the actors' ages is irrelevant to how old the characters are, as is the fact that they don't look far apart in age. Many people in real life can look similar in age and still have a considerable age difference between them, just like people who are the same age can look like they are many years apart from each other.

Corrected entry: Blofeld somehow arranges the entire Spectre would-be ambush and monitors it in real time from his cell, despite being utterly locked down and only having contact with Madeleine. Even when his cell is ordered to be searched there's no report of anything being found. The mechanism by which he was still somehow in touch with the outside world is just totally forgotten about.

Correction: Q states they find a bionic eye on Blofeld, that is the eye Q works on.

Corrected entry: James Bond was wearing a black tie when he visited Vespa Lynd's grave. This was still evident when he knocked Cyclops off his motorbike in the following action sequence. During the fight as he grapples with Cyclops, not only is the tie missing but the top few buttons of his shirt become undone.

Correction: He rips the tie off after he punches Primo. It's a blink or you'll miss it moment, but you can definitely see him do it in b-roll footage. It's been edited in the final version in such a way it isn't clear.

Corrected entry: When Madeleine and Bond are being chased by Blofeld men they get hit by a black SUV coming from the left side where Madeleine is sitting. The impact was extremely severe but in the next scene (bird's eye view) there isn't a scratch on his Aston Martin while the SUV's front is shattered badly. (00:20:00)

Correction: Surely all this shows is that the armour-plated, bulletproof car is more robust than the SUV.

Corrected entry: When Bond uses his watch to blow Primo/Cyclop's eye (with the watch acting like a magnetron), Bond's electronic earpiece for communication is still fine - it should have been destroyed in the same explosion.

Correction: Given both items were provided by Q, it's reasonable to assume that the earpiece was shielded against the effects of an EMP.

Also, it is explained (and shown) that the device must be really close to the watch in order for it to work.

Corrected entry: Bond was exposed to the nanites at the SPECTRE party that would kill all the bad guys to include the one in prison and their families. So why all the focus on Bond touching the hand of his former flame that was sprayed with nanites? We learn later in the film that nanites stay with you forever.

Correction: Because as is the entire plot of the film, the nanites are targeted against specific individuals. Bond being tainted with the "anti-SPECTRE" nanites was irrelevant. But at the end, Safin deliberately infects him with nanites which will only kill Madeleine and Mathilde.

Jon Sandys

You miss the point I was making, that Bond was already tainted (with SPECTRE killing nanites) at the party before he went to the prison. What's irrelevant is the focus in the movie on Bond touching his ex-flame then touching Blofeld in prison.

The nanites are targeted per person. The movie shows Bond's DNA profile being switched with that of all the SPECTRE agents who were in attendance at the event. Blofeld's DNA profile wasn't among them, because Safin knew he wasn't at that event. That's why Safin instead used Madeleine as a delivery method, being the only way to get to Blofeld. Bond didn't have anti-Blofeld nanites on him until he touched Madeleine. The nanites he already had on him were only effective against the now-dead SPECTRE agents, not Blofeld.

Continuity mistake: When Safin holds the baby while walking in the garden, right after Madeleine leaves, the baby's head and/or body position is not continuous between shots. (02:00:25)

Question: In the opening credit sequence, were the vines growing inside the statue of the woman supposed to hint at the fact that Bond's child was growing inside of Madeleine?

Answer: While it's open to individual interpretation, vines symbolically represent connections, strength, growth, and continuation. It could very well represent Bond's progeny. There was also some DNA symbolism/imagery in the opening sequence that further hints at that.
