Continuity mistake: When we see Howie reach his hand to pat the reindeer, he is clearly wearing gloves. As the reindeer snaps at his hand, we see he is no longer wearing gloves.
Giant Santa: I'm gonna deck your halls, bub.
Trivia: The parade scenes were filmed on the Universal Studios backlot in "Courthouse Square." The film's special effects artists then digitally composited in some elements of a street in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, where the film is set. The sequence took three weeks to shoot and involved hundreds of extras.
