Continuity mistake: When Simon is about to take a photo of Killian, Basila, Iniko and Laha, in the shot where Simon says "Let's take a photo", the camera is lowered slightly away from his face. When the shot cuts to a different angle, the camera is raised to be level with his face. (02:32:07)

Continuity mistake: Just after Basila smears the paint over Killian's face, in the shot where he says "It's what I want", some of the paint can be seen on his left cheek. A couple seconds later, in the shot where Basila says "Then I must talk first", the paint on his left cheek, as well as some of the paint on the side of his face, has decreased. Then the paint reappears on his face two shots later. (02:30:25)

Continuity mistake: When Killian and Basila are standing on the beach preparing for their wedding ceremony, Basila spreads paint over Killian's neck, shoulder and arms. In the shot where she says "It's not valid before the law", there is some paint on Killian's cheek and it is mixed in with the paint on his neck. When the shot cuts, the only paint on his cheek is a tiny smear, and it is completely separate from the paint on his neck. (02:30:02)

Continuity mistake: When Killian and Basila are attempting to make their way through the crowd at the port, there is a shot from behind the two where they are shown side-by-side. When the camera cuts to an angle in front of them, Killian has suddenly rotated 90° in between shots. (02:24:50)

Continuity mistake: When the group of men are trying to bury Killian alive, Simon runs up and attempts to stop them. In the above shot when Simon first runs up to them, the man holding the torch places his arm over Simon's upper chest. In the next shot, his arm is over Simon's stomach. Then two shots after that, his arm is over Simon's upper chest again. (02:18:35)

Continuity mistake: When Basila sees Killian at Julia's home, she begins walking over to him. She has baby Laha lying on her shoulder, who is shown looking off to the right. When it cuts to a wide shot, Laha is suddenly looking at Killian. (02:23:12)

Continuity mistake: When Bisila is consoling the dead body in the hospital, at the end of one shot, she places her right hand on the man's face. When it cuts to a wider shot of the room, her right hand is on his chest. (02:11:31)

Continuity mistake: When Jacobo returns to the plantation in April 1964, Basila begins to walk back into the hospital. When she does this, Julia is touching both her hands. In the next shot, one of her hands is at her side. Then in the shot after that, she is touching both her hands again. (01:50:43)

Continuity mistake: When Bisila meets with Killian in the barn, the two begin walking at opposite ends of the barn in sync with each other. When Killian begins to walk, he puts his left hand on a support beam. When the shot cuts, his left hand is at his side. (01:38:50)

Continuity mistake: When Bisila is speaking to Julia about a friend of hers named Gustavo who came to the church, after Julia tells her he was arrested months ago, the camera cuts to a shot focusing on Bisila. In this shot, her hands are folded. But in the next shot, her right hand is suddenly touching her face. (01:32:57)

Continuity mistake: When Bisila meets up with Julia in the street to tell her about Father Rafael calling the hospital, in the shot where Bisila says "He called the hospital; he's really nervous", a woman in a white patterned dress, with her hair tied with a ribbon can be seen walking past Bisila. The same woman can be seen walking past Julia in the following shot. A couple seconds later, when Julia asks "Gustavo?", the same woman can be seen walking past her a second time. (01:32:44)

Continuity mistake: When the group of men leave the barn after threatening Clarence, Iniko is shown standing beside Clarence on her right. When the shot cuts, Iniko is suddenly standing on the opposite side of her. (01:21:18)

Continuity mistake: When Clarence is in the barn with Iniko and Simon, and Iniko translates his sentence, a group of men run into the barn. Clarence is turning around to face the men. The camera then cuts to Iniko running up to the men, and Clarence is suddenly looking straight forwards at him and then turns to face the men a second time. (01:21:04)

Continuity mistake: When Clarence and Iniko are standing naked on the beach after having sex, in the shot where she walks up to him, and she looks at his back, take note of her hair. The shot cuts to angle behind them, then cuts to a close-up of Iniko's back. When it cuts again, a couple strands of hair, slightly apart from the rest of her hair, can be seen going over Clarence's left shoulder that weren't there three shots prior. (01:18:12)

Continuity mistake: When Clarence and Iniko are having sex on the beach, in a close-up shot of the two kissing, Clarence begins to roll Iniko over, so she can go on top of him. When she begins to roll him over, Iniko has his left hand on the sand. It then cuts to a wide shot where his left hand is suddenly on her back. (01:17:50)

Continuity mistake: When Clarence gets out of the car after Iniko drives it into the forest, she is holding onto her bag with her left hand. When the shot cuts, she is suddenly holding it in her right hand. (01:15:07)

Continuity mistake: When Clarence is on the dance floor with Iniko, he places his hand over Clarence's eyes. Clarence then places her fingers flat over Iniko's hand. Then it cuts to a wider shot where Clarence's fingers are at a far more curled angle. Then her fingers are flat on Iniko's hand two shots later. (01:11:40)

Continuity mistake: Clarence is sitting at a table with a group of Iniko and Laha's friends. Everyone raises their bottles and Clarence clanks her glass against Laha's bottle, then slowly pulls the glass away, leaving it raised in her right hand, while her left hand is lowered. When the shot cuts, her left hand is holding onto the straw inside the glass and is suddenly drinking from it. (01:10:20)

Continuity mistake: When Mama Sade grabs onto Clarence's arm, Iniko attempts to intervene. In the shot of Iniko reaching his hand out to get Sade off her, Clarence and Iniko are standing side-by-side. The shot then cuts to a wider shot where Iniko is rotated 90° away from Clarence. (01:08:50)

Continuity mistake: When Clarence bumps into Mama Sade, in the shot of Sade asking "is there a problem", a boy in a striped blue shirt can be seen running behind her. The camera changes angles where the boy in the striped blue shirt can now be seen much further back, running past Clarence and Laha, and running past Sade a second time. (01:08:43)
